May 21-25, 2008 - Fleet Week - New York City, NY Individuals and organizations throughout the greater New York City area have volunteered their time and donated their resources to plan an incredible weekend for 20 wounded service members traveling from San Antonio to NYC for Fleet Week. Hope For The Warriors™ would like to thank, in advance, Mr. Harry Bridgwood and the Friends of the Vietnam Veteran’s Plaza, Plaza Construction Corp., Mr. Arnold Fisher, the Fort Hamilton Veteran’s Committee, the FDNY, the NYPD, Mr. George Harvey and countless others that will be hosting dinners and special events during their stay.
* May 23rd – 25th - 28th Annual Swansboro, NC Rotary King Mackerel Fishing Tournament The competition that surfaced in 1991 has grown intensely throughout the years as more anglers have chosen to enter the King Mackerel Blue Water Fishing Tournament. The Swansboro Rotary Club continues to be a generous supporter and contributor to Hope For The Warriors™, aiding in Warrior Wishes and the ongoing need to fulfill them. * May 25th, 2008 - Putting For Patriots Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, will host the Second Annual “Putting for Patriots”. “The Pirate’s Cove/Pirate’s Island family” establishes this fundraising event to contribute to those organizations that “assist our living veterans – men and women who have sacrificed so much for our freedom”. October 3, 2008 - Oorah vs. Hooah - This Time It's For Reel - Marine Corps vs. Army Fishing Battle This annual event will take place in Wilmington, NC bringing together wounded Soldiers from Fort Bragg and wounded Marines from Camp Lejeune for a day of fun competitive fishing, BBQ with John Boy & Billy's grilling team and good times with the local boat owners and captains.
